Sonny's BBQ

I was craving some smoked BBQ chicken, got to sonnys to order the sampler and they told me no dark meat chicken at all. I was going to just leave but I was with someone and they wanted to stay. I asked if I could just get extra brisket instead of chicken as I'm not a fan of white meat, they said that's ok. So I order the sampler with chopped brisket, pulled pork, ribs, 2 sides and bread. The food comes out about 20 minutes later and the brisket came out sliced. I already waited 20 minutes so I didn't bother asking for that fixed. I then realize they didn't give me ribs at all. I asked the waitress, btw she was great, what happened to the ribs. She came back very quickly with a plate of ribs and they were two little tiny barely any meat dried up ribs. When we asked the manager about the ribs and if this was some kind of joke they said ribs are by weight. He then gave us a $10 gift card but the meal and whole experience was not worth $50 for 2

I was taken care of at the bar by a very sweet bartender named Derek. My food was delicious. I had chicken tenders fries and macncheese. They do a real good job at Sonny’s!

No large drinks, small servings of fries and okra.

Made my order paid for my order. Got home looked at my order the oakra was missing from my order and the extra pickles were not there. Ribs were cold and did not have a lot of meat. I have had better.

First I would like to say we Love Sonny's BBQ. Now for the Waterford Lakes location in Orlando fl. Me and my wife both ordered the pork 3 ways at $15.99 each plus beverage. We get double slice pork, ribs, fries. Second side I get coleslaw and she got a salad. I got garlic bread and she got cornbread. Food comes out. The good is her salad, my coleslaw and fries were good. The bad is the slice pork is cold and ribs were dry and over cooked. Ribs did not have much meat on them either. Cornbread was dry and garlic bread was not cooked. Asked for new order on both. Orders came out slice pork looked like it was microwaved, the ribs were the same dry and old looking, and the same fries looked like they got refried. We use to eat here once a week 6 months ago and food was on point all the time. Now we will wait awhile give time for new management and line cook. Again we really love Sonny's. Very disappointed .

Amazing place and sorry to see them close down

We enjoyed our lunch today and the service was excellent . We were sorry to hear that this Sonnys location is closing down for good at the close of business today as well. We are sorry to see this place go. Waterford Lakes needs a good Barbecue restaurant here now that Sonnys is closing. Happy Holidays.
