Food was ok. Mood was very mid in this place. At least at lunch on a Thursday
Had an absolutely awesome dinner here - we had originally had a reservation for 6 people on a Saturday night, but last minute changed to 7 and they were very accommodating. AMAZING drinks and a really great happy hour price. I was sooo pleasantly surprised to see cocktails on the happy hour menu for $12, which is something I haven't seen in LES in years. The best part of the meal was our server Marcus. He was kind, personable, and all around just fun to be around. He was the best part of the night! Menu has lots of variety (vegan crab cake was delish). Would def recommend.
In We visited for breakfast and found the staff to be friendly and pleasant. However, the food was just okay, meeting expectations but nothing exceptional. If you're considering visiting, keep your expectations in check.
What’s Australian about it? Nothing. Sorry, a miss for us.
One of the best Aussie coffee shops in NYC.
I love going to Sonnyboy! The new menu is great and the drinks are very well done.
Walked in for brunch (the wait was about 2 hours). The food was absolutely fantastic — the ricotta hotcake is the winner but the shakshuka was also tasty. While the food was awesome, our table was next to the open sidewalk cellar door, which was where they put their trash, so it smelled like trash (more than the usual NYC trash smell). Something was also dripping on my friend the entire time we were eating. Gross! So I would probably try to get a table inside in the future.
We went for a quick lunch and chose Sonny Boy after a recommendation to try the burger. Following the advice, we ordered the burger and a chicken sandwich. Both exceeded our expectations! Despite their modest appearance, the flavors were truly outstanding, complemented by very soft bread and interesting sauces. While I wouldn’t make a special trip just to visit this spot, if you find yourself nearby and are in the mood for a good burger, definitely give it a try. I’m already considering a return visit to sample the fig & burrata toast.
Best brunch I’ve had in a while. The ingredients are fresh and have so much taste. The fig burrata toast and the ricotta hotcakes are not to be missed.
