Great atmosphere inside but wouldn’t recommend outside as you are very close to the airport. Dine during restaurant week so had the opportunity to try 3 courses which were all excellent!

Food disappointing and overpriced. Was not hot when served. Service way below average. Slow.

My wife and I decided to give this place a try during restaurant week seeing that it had a Bib Gourmand. Michelin has disappointed us with this distinction and may need to reevaluate.

Lively atmosphere with a private feel due to the positioning of tables. Food was stellar, as always. Wine list was good and wait staff offered an excellent recommendation. Dessert was also fantastic.

Solare Restorante 9.3/10 An Italian restaurant located in Liberty Station San Diego. If you’re around this area a give it a try. Tiramisu 9/10 Very creative! They placed it on a pot and made it look like a plant. Cake was moist. World’s Best Lasagna 11/10 Cheese sauce made it special. Pasta was chewy but tender. Brasato al Nebbiolo 8/10 Meat was very tender and tasty. However, I would go with the popular meat dishes rather. House Bread 8/10 Great job for serving us olive oil instead of usual butter. Butternut Squash Soup 9/10 It’s giving fall vibes in a bowl. Caesar Salad 9/10 The perfect uncut crisp lettuce covered generously with dressing. Pistachio Crème Brûlée 10/10 Talk about perfection, you just have to try it yourself. Thanks for reading up to this point.

I came here for Valentine’s Day and paid over $270 total for two people prix fixe menu. The quantity of food was lacking. They split portions for one person into two people portions. We left hungry after five tiny courses. The taste of the dishes were underwhelming too. In addition, the burrata pasta did not come with burrata nor did it taste like it had any cheese. When we brought it up to the waiter, we were told that it was the burrata pasta when it clearly had just red sauce on it. In addition, the couple next to us each received a rose while only my date received a rose. I am extremely disappointed in my experience. I’ve tried a lot of Italian places in San Diego during my time in the Navy, but this place hands down was the worst. I will not be returning and neither will my family and friends.
