Sofrito 787 NY

First off, have to say food is really really good! We were in NY from NC for a short trip and this was the first place we hit after driving all day. We got there 1 hour before closing and seemed like the waitress was not as friendly as I would think to earn a possible extra $10-20 tip (no one there) an hour before close is plenty of time for a group of 3. My daughter wanted the Tripleta fries because they do not have them down the south and 10 mins after we ordered all our food,the waitress comes out and says they don’t have Fries so can’t make them. The whole reason for us going there. She told them no thank you (for anything else she would pick ours) then when all food came out they said “we had a little bit of fries” and made her Tripleta Fries with about 1/3 of regular portion and they made a comment how it is “much smaller” still definitely enough for one person but we were all going to share. We were so thankful and she was happy but when we got the bill- noticed they charged the full price! Disappointing! All in all amazing food and we were still happy! Then also saw the credit card charge (did not say anything) I would have liked to pay cash instead. If there was a sign, or posted menu I did not see that.

First time there and the food was delicious and affordable. Our waiter Wayne was a delight and very attentive. Will go there again for sure

Amazing puerto rican food. Like the real deal. Full of mouth watering flavor. Portions are just right and so are the prices. This is one of those places that are really hard to come by. Lovely owner and staff, and peaceful ambience! Can't wait to go back!

When we arrived there were not many people. I was leery. But to my surprise this place is tops. The food was so delicious. The pork chops were crispy touch fried on the outside but super moist on the inside. Not tough at all. The pernil was so moist where at other places it’s dry. The portions are big. Had sides too. This place is super. We are definitely coming again. It is our go to place. Loved it

Softito is a charming restaurant located in New Windsor NY. They serve cuisine from Puerto Rico, and it is good . I had the Cuban sandwich, and for dessert I had coconut Flan. I had fried Plantains for the first time, and they were good! It was totally different as I am used to getting fries with lunch. Try them! It is handicap accessible, as is parking ️. The service was very nice and friendly. Wheelchair accessibility: There is wheelchair accessible seating and parking ️.

The food is amazing hands down better then any other Spanish in 845 area there plates are huge sorry people wat better then Danny's or Anais

My first order was delivery. Got the Cuban sandwich, a side of shrimp with garlic sauce, and a side of yellow rice with peas, and a couple of empanadas which look homemade. The sandwich is HUGE and well made with a side of homemade potato chips: DELICIOUS! The side of shrimp was more like an entree with six big shrimp in a freshly made garlic sauce. I love that they offer fresh avocado as a side dish. Highly recommended. Can't wait to order again!
