I am doing work in the area and was craving good bbq. I found Smokey D'z, and let me tell you they are doing it right. Food is amazing from the green beans to the rib ends it is all good. Also, you won't find better service they truly care about their guest. I wish I could give more stars.

I Have To Say being from California in the entertainment industry my whole career and now living in NEW YORK CITY who has also traveled all over the world eating all foods of love. SMOKEY D’Z BBQ is the best BBQ place I HAVE EVER EATEN AT IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!! The Food is made with The Love, The atmosphere makes you feel like you are family and it was my first time there! I went 2x’s while in town for only 3 days because it was that Good!! The Drinks OMg to Livvv for and The Music brought me back to the roots of why I became a Celebrity Dancer for all of the legends in Music to begin with!!! The JOY you feel in there is contagious and all races come in and feel that same love! Families with multiple generations came in and were treated with so much love and ate so well! It was WOW!!! I am speechless and feel so blessed I pray They bring a SMOKEY D’Z BBQ TO NYC AND GLOBALLY!!! It’s wow and I will be back everytime I travel to Dallas!! 1 Trillion Stars from Me! The experience is like No other! Trust me when I say You want to Go to Smokey D’z BBQ any and everyday of the week! Vegetarian options: So Many Veggie options I was in heaven on earth!!! This Place is WOW! Parking: The Parking was an ease and so peaceful! Parked right away and walked right in as I saw so many other’s do my whole time there! Kid-friendliness: The Love You feel and The Family Environment is wow!! I even saw a Latin Family of 9 come in unexpectedly and The Owner’s Wife who is the Co-Owner speaks spanish and English fluently as well so They felt like they were home and they found out about Smokey D’z from a review and said they had to come! They were seated easily and had the best time and LOVED THE FOOD I WATCH EVERYTHING IT WAS AMAZING!!! Janae working the register is just wow she makes you feel loved and taken care of!

Was googling Barbecue places a month ago near me. This place came up. Viewed them on instagram as well as the reviews on their website. Decided to go in on last Sunday. When I left I called back out of courtesy and spoke to a Derrick that Monday morning. I advised him that I don't do reviews unless it is necessary and that I talk to the person first. He never called me back. I was supposed to been going back to get some more for food He told me to call him when i'm on my way. Whoever picked up the phone was hesitant & sounded like someone that I have encountered before. I decided to do this review Because i've never got the call back as he asked for my number and apologized for what took place. The young man at the register told me it would be $15. 99 for 6 ribs and 2 sides. I ended up paying a little over $24 for 4 small partially burnt ribs, maccaroni and I had yams that had one big yam and juice, very sweet neither not good at all. The ribs had little meat on the bones and was not tender at all. Derrick stated that he believed in good customer service, but I didn't receive the customer service. There was someone there that I did not know was going to be there Who keeps up a lot of trouble. When she saw me, there was a very bad vibe that came in the atmosphere and other things took place. One thing that we should stay away from being business owners and so called people of God is drama, Gossip and rumors. These are things that will get us in trouble with God and slow down our business. God will not allow His people to spend money where they are not respected and we shouldn't allow people to bring us drama. Today I will say may the lord have mercy on all of you who were involved with what You know i'm talking about and for not getting back to me for being Overcharged And not calling me back as I was told to call when I was coming which I changed my mind. The Atmosphere had a very bad vibe After encountering Vanessa. The gestures The look she gave me when she didn't know I saw her looking at me Because of her drama and messiness outside of this business and there as a so called woman of God. Bad Character and drama will easily give you a bad name as a business. I WILL NEVER step foot in this place again. You can keep the overchared amount which was ridiculously insane because Derrick told me that I was charged wrong because of how the young man rung it up and something about being fairly new or training to the Best of my knowledge. That in itself was unfair to me. There's a lot of messy people in there who are easily swayed by people that they feel they can trust. People are coming to eat and do business and if you all can't handle people right because of what you hear, then I can guarantee you that You won't be blessed to the capacity of what God wills because of things like this. Proverbs 6:16-19. ~seLah~ UPDATE: 2/12/24. I literally told Derrick I don't do reviews unless it is necessary because there's always a way to resolve matters and when the matter is not resolved then the review is necessary. AS I STATED IN THE PREVIOUS MESSAGE I WILL NEVER STEP BACK THERE due to all that took place in such little time when I was there. THE FOOD WAS HIGHLY NASTY AND NOT WORTH IT. IF IT WAS A PERSONAL ATTACK I WOULDN'T HAVE CALLED TO RESOLVE IT FIRST WHEN I TALKED TO DERRICK. NOTHING WAS RESOLVED. YOU ALL ARE NOT PROFESSIONAL. I was overcharged by $9 and Derrick asked for my phone number to make sure the food was right the next time, however I never intended on coming back Because I don't spend my money in unprofessional places. If you want to believe that it was resolved after what Derrick said to me on the phone, then you believe that. $9 is not going to break me However it's the principle of being overcharged. The response that I did not read all was a personal attack towards me because of what I stated in the first review. This is supposed to be a business, this is nothing personal. Again, I have NO interest in coming back there. The rest is between all parties involved & GOD. ~SMH~

Food will have you sick as heck the next day, food did not come out fresh and we waited like 15 minutes for it.
