Well it was all going so well. Great food, attentive service etc. Then the bill came with 15% service charge presumptively added, and there were only two of us. Left a sour taste in the mouth. We were going to buy a gift voucher for friends but we would be embarrassed to think they would have to pay to use our gift. Shame, thought we’d found something special.
Fantastic place, Harry is so passionate and knowledgeable it really makes this experience amazing especially considering how nice the setting is too. Couldn’t recommend highly enough and will certainly be back to try some more of the amazing selection of wines.
Finally got to visit this interesting restaurant. We have watched Stu Deeley's,progress following MasterChef. He was in the kitchen when we visited and popped out to say hi. Smoke's setting is quirky, with a friendly atmosphere. Staff were excellent.Good to see young staff being developed who were local. We sat at the chefs table, which added interest. We had the Sunday Roast, set price 65£. The food, of course delicious and beautifully prepared and presented. One slight negative,an extra, strip of mackerel and beef, would have been welcome. Veg's,etc are all delicious. Wine good selection. Desserts were delicious! Certainly worth a visit if you're visiting the area. Parking: Parking within 100 meters of the restaurant door.
Me and my partner went to smoke this evening and had an absolutely lovely time, the food was absolutely incredible, as was the service. Thank you so much to the whole team
Smoke Sunday roast. Is a must. Complete mindblowing. The flavours, the smells, the experience. Wow Looks expensive, but you'll be left feeling you've robbed them. It is worth every penny. I have had the best experience. Highly recommend. Their bakery Thursday - Sunday 9 am - 12 pm is amazing to.
Our second visit to Smoke, and this return visit was a lovely experience. Still not quite as unique as when dinner was served at Hampton Manor, but excellent quality food is a relaxed environment with knowledgeable staff
