Slater's 5050

Came in a few days back but this experience stuck with me. I'm a lawyer in the area and make frequent trips out with staff and clients for lunch or dinner. Everything was great when we came in. The server was on point with her service, beer selection was really nice, only issue is with the cook in back (large heavy set guy, older and very vulgar) all he kept doing was yelling at everyone and making everything a spectacle! Who is he and why is he still employed?! He really made my table and clearly others uncomfortable (saw a table that hadn't even gotten their order yet walk out after glances into the kitchen.) put a muzzle on his profanity ridden mouth or get rid of him!

Service is SLOW !!!! Got sat and waited 10 minutes to even be greeted, placed our whole food/drink order at once, our appetizer came out first … then waited another 5 minutes for drinks to even get there … I asked the young black guy sweeping for napkins, he looked straight annoyed and then replies “yeah in a minute”… like bro is the floor going somewhere?! He never got them just stood there looking dumb trying to act busy, had to ask another server and she brought them back literally .2 seconds later…. Food is mid, we got 2 burgers mine came out first and annoyingly enough 10 minutes later my husband finally got his…. definitely won’t be returning!!

I normally don’t write reviews but the fact I even gotta leave a review speaks for itself. Starting off with when we first got seated. Normally a waiter would come to you and ask you for drinks within 5 mins of you being seated but we waiting about 25 mins to even be asked if we needed anything to drink. And it wasn’t even the waiter who helped us it was the host who had to come and ask us if we needed anything to drink. At first I was confused on who was supposed to be our waitress because all we were told is that our waitress would be coming by shortly. After already being seated for 30mins I was growing un patient and had told whoever was walking by that we were ready to order and again the host helped us. Not our waiter. Waited about 20-25 mins extra for our food to come out. While we were waiting, a lady named ALEXIS (average height , long brown and blonde hair ) had said “I’ll be right with you guys” so after 40mins of already being there our waitress finally acknowledged us. But even after that not ONCE did ALEXIS offer any napkins, asked us if we needed anything,etc…yk how a waitress is supposed to do. I notice she was sitting down talking to everybody around her helping other tables that came after us but completely ignored us. So we were already ticked off about that..now let’s talk about the food… my boyfriend asked for WELLDONE meat for his burger. What he got was no where near well done and fries were plain. The only thing that was good was the cheese balls but other than that my boyfriend couldn’t even eat his food because of how pink it was. So overall , customer service…trash. Food…horrible. We had spoke to a manager about it afterwards because that experience was 0/10. Teressa the host was very helpful and went out of her way to serve us so we ended up just tipping her and a young guy (blonde hair) waitress was also very helpful as well. We ended up getting a 25% discount which was the only thing good about the whole experience. I highly recommend new employees because I see this is a common review but not only I experienced but many other people had.
