Silver Fox Steakhouse

Tonight, we went to celebrate a birthday. The ambience was fair, and we had a great waiter. The night was going fine as we were all chatting. When the bill came, a credit card was given, and then the waiter came back almost immediately. Stating he needed to see a drivers license to make sure, the card would go through. Now, we all know this is called RACIAL PROFILING. No one else in the restaurant had to show a driver’s license along with a credit card. The excuse was that the card reader could not read the card and they needed to type it in. But they also need to look at the license first. Again this is RACIAL PROFILING. Funny, the charge was immediate. I will never EVER recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Great service and good food. Steak is cooked to order and very flavorful.

Wonderful dinner at Silver Fox. Our server Michael T. was excellent, steaks were delicious and grilled perfectly. Loved everything about it! Will definitely return!

From a few cocktails and appetizers at the bar before dinner, until they held the door for us on the way out, this was truly a great experience! Staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. For starters, HUGE buttery Scallops and The Calamari were some of the best I've ever had. Dinner service was timed well and came out perfect. Beautiful Beef, Beautiful fish, ALL the sides are top notch. You get to pick your own knife, which I thought was a nice touch that will be memorable in the future. If you haven't had enough yet, Dessert is beyond Gluttonous, in all the best ways possible. Bread Pudding, Creme Brulee, 6 Layer Chocolate Cake as tall as a house, were the real MVP's in our party. Our party is no stranger to Steakhouses in DFW and we felt Silver Fox stood out among the crowd. See ya' again soon! Parking: Limited number of spots near restaurants in area. Nearby parking garage always has spaces.

The Dinner for 2 was perfect for two people. Definitely enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Very quiet and dimly lit. Nice for a romantic dinner date.

2nd and 3rd visits - it does matter what you wear here! If you dress down, the service is questionable. Dress more to their liking the service is impeccable. It's not a good quality, but the food is delicious regardless. 1st visit. Party of 2.5 - Ticket $500 with Tip.......... I appreciated being able to eat a fine meal without dressing and without a reservation. However, I did not appreciate the emphasis our server put on prices (we can read and obviously would not have chosen a place we can not afford). The food was good. The Beef Croustade appetizers were tender and perfectly cooked. I ordered two of this months' special strawberry infused vodka drink. Both quite delicious. There was a miscommunication between staff, and we were initially served someone else's dinner. It is a bit of an odd feeling to have someone else's food sat in front of you and having to get the attention of another staff member to remedie the issue. I enjoyed the amusement of picking our steak knives. (The only picture taken) The Filet Dinner for Two is a fantastic deal! Although my husband did say both steaks were lacking flavor being that he did not choose to cover his steak with any extras offered. He also enjoyed a 12oz Lobster Tail, which unfortunately was overcooked and a bit tough. Still tasty. I chose the Baseball Cut Filet covered in the Black Truffle butter served with garlic mash. It was also a bit overcooked but absolutely flavorful. We enjoyed the Gouda Mac n Cheese the most. Our Brussels were crispy but also dry. There was also another side, but alas, it was forgettable whatever it was. Our server was able to bring an off menu side of fresh strawberries for our L.O. Much appreciated!! For dessert, we ordered the chocolate cake and CremeBrule. Mediocre in comparison to local restaurants. Overall, it was a good experience. We will be back because we never go to a place only once. I'm hoping to have a five-star experience when we do.
