Best diner I'll ever go to
Been decades since I've eaten at a Silver Diner but it was just as good as I remembered. Service was excellent, as was the atmosphere. Burger was good but I think the Oreo shake I has was even better. A little pricey but that's about expected for a location right inside the airport.
Food was good. Greek salad (had to ask for the olives) and bruschetta which was good. Unfortunately, we were overcharged but had to run for a flight. Ask for an itemized bill and not the pay-at-table credit card screen. Some retro music which is nice. But, atmosphere is not especially eye catching. Standard old 50s Hollywood, rock-and-roll, and sports photos and tchotchkes.
Great food and value, especially for an airport restaurant.
The lemon chicken piccata is one of my favorites. I look forward to layovers here so I can have this favorite dish!
I tried to eat here between flights around 1:00PM. I should have taken a clue from the hostess that was so busy playing on her phone, that I had to wait to be seated. After being seated, I sat for 20 minutes (with servers going by) with no acknowledgement that I even existed. I have eaten here on past trips and the food was good. I wouldn’t know today, because it was probably the worst service of any restaurant that I have visited.
