Sichuan Garden

This might be my new favorite chinese resturaunt in Austin. Decided to take a chance last night after reading some of the negative reviews that made me a little hesitant. But glad I did, the food was very delicious and fresh tasting. The sweet lady and host made me feel very welcomed, also made a superb recommendation. Writing this review as I am finishing my left over.

Wow, where do I start with this place. I guess I should start by saying this is hands down the best Chinese food I've ever had, mind you, I've never visited China. But the owner has 50 years of cooking experience, and you can REALLY tell. This is not your typical Chinese restaurant where everything has that same Chinese food taste that we are all used to. This food really tastes finely crafted and what I would imagine to be a true slice of the Chinese Homeland. The breading on the fried items is incredible, the service you get from this family-owned restaurant is amazing. Very nice people who are extremely humble when it comes to just how amazing their food tastes. They go above and beyond for their customers, I live on a completely different side of town, about 30 minutes from this restaurant, and I literally refuse to order Chinese food from anywhere else. I will either make the drive up there myself, or be willing to pay a friend who lives nearby the restaurant, a thoughtful delivery fee to bring it to me, THATS how great this food is. I've only ever left a review for about 3 businesses in my whole life, and this is one of them. Do not walk, please RUN to this restaurant and try their food! A great place to eat, is open late!

Reeaallyy good food. In my honest opinion, the prices reflect the awesome quality. Been eating here for years, their new barbecue ribs they put on the menu recently are incredible. This place is definitely worth your time

The food was horrible, the orange tasted like ketch up chicken. The chicken lo mein was cold and tasted old. My son ordered his favorite wonton soup and hardly had 4 spoons of it before saying, no thanks. The wonton soup was very greasy and tasted like burnt oil. We were also given the wrong order but made to pay for it anyways, definitely won't be going back.

Gross. Idk why people think this place is good. We ordered sweet and sour chicken, sesame chicken, orange chicken, wonton soup and a poo poo platter. Nothing was good. We did take out and the restaurant is dirty. Almost $80 and it was trash.

Amazing food totally took care of me when I said I was vegan and gluten free I absolutely loved my food it was delicious. Thank you so much

This used to be my favorite Chinese place. I moved away from Round Rock a few years ago but was in town and decided to get two of my old favorites—orange chicken and sesame chicken. The quality has drastically decreased; both sauces lacked flavor and were almost the consistency of water, leaving the chicken soggy. This is definitely not worth the price.
