I was here with my family and frieds family (4 adult; 2 kids). We enjoy eating at this place. Though it shows 12 am MIDNIGHT on google; hotel staff told us that they close by 10:30 PM and more late means less available of items. And do check special offer on each day. We had Mysore Dosa, Rava Dosa,Uttapam, Pakodas and it was great taste. with tip we had 60$/family (20$/head); I must say that with amiunt of food we eat; this is great price. Ambeince looked good to me ; nice first time exprience overall. Server was also good; even we end up staying till 11 ; he was happy to serve us and food was deliecious. Vegetarian options: lot of vegeterian options. Kid-friendliness: Most food what we eat is liked by our kids (5 and 3 years old)
Please dont get discouraged by any expectations you might have, try out this place if you are able to. I had the briyani special with my room-mate, and it was great. We ate up everything. I think their geographical location puts them in a very competitive position where they're probably too far away to get online orders, and a little stretch to drive if you don't live close. Fried fish and the mutton was to die for!!
SI foods is a relevation for South Indians in Calgary. It's like a home away from home where you get to eat the tastiest of south indian delicacies. The staff are friendly, place is very clean and food is super tasty. Don't miss the Mysuru Masala Dose, Masala Vada, Idli and filter coffee. Highly recommend!!
Great food and service tried paratha and chicken kothu both tasts delicious and the interior of the restaurant was so amazing with some music fully satisfied we'll visit again thanks for the food
This is the place for dosa lovers. Different varieties of dosa’s are available at this restaurant my favourite is mysore masala dosa.
At 2 pm, I went to try their weekend special, advertised as 4 biryanis in 1 platter. Upon arrival, I sat down, placed my order, only to hear the chef/owner shouting at the waitress that biryani isn't served until 6 pm. It's misleading to have it on the menu without specifying the time. Surprisingly, they also mentioned no biryani is available at noon.
Horrible food .. I really couldn’t even call it South Indian . Sambar is a total mess chutney is strgt out of refrigerator soo cold tasting awful I m not even sure what to name the chutney and vadai was no words to describe der was a stink to it I m not sure what that is it was not spoiled but it doesn’t smell Good nutshell total waste of 55 dollars
