Shula's Steak House

Ate dinner there last Friday, sat in the bar area and ordered lobster bisque, Caesar salad and crab cakes. Salad and crab cakes were good, but the lobster bisque was very disappointing. Not sure what happened but is was a thin brown liquid with tiny pieces of something maybe lobster claw but not positive. Whoever made it must have not followed the recipe.

Had a nice evening with friends. Food was great.

The food here was everything you'd expect in an extremely well-known steakhouse, from the high price to the (imo) very high quality of the food, amazing selection and Every entre was perfect at a table for 6, not a single mistake, my only gripe is that they were quite obviously understaffed, 7:00 reservations, arrive at 6:50 and the inattentive host took 15 minutes just to take our name while we stood there, didn't get seated till 7:30 and our dinner was not out to us till 9:00 they Brought out "complimentary" bread twice and kept apologizing so obviously an understaffed issue, the food was indeed amazing and done perfectly to our requests, I'll go again but not sure I'll go during a busy tradeshow.

I like that they take reservations. They have Coke products. The pop is served in a can with a glass of ice. The can is not cold. I got the 16oz New York strip. I asked for it well done. It came out pink. The manager came up to me and apologized and made it right on our bill. For their sides we had macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes and the loaded baked potato. All the sides were amazing especially the Mac and cheese. The location is great, It's in the Sheraton hotel. In Chicago there are so many amazing steakhouses, Shula's in my opinion was okay it wasn't bad by any means just not in my top 10. I really appreciated the manager coming to me making sure I was okay about my meal. I feel like they do give great customer service. We did wait almost an hour for our food. It was a Friday night when we went. They brought out fresh bread and apologized.

Stayed at the Sheraton for work and decided to try Shula’s for a nice dinner with my husband, and was very disappointed. I did like that they take reservations- although it is January and a reservation probably was not necessary, it was not very busy. We were seated promptly, however it felt like it took too long for the server to come to our table to get our drink order. I guess it is their job to unfold the napkin and put it on your lap, however when you move the menus off the tops of the napkins someone forcefully- it is not a good first impression of the service. The attitude of the server was very off putting which made the whole dinner unenjoyable. Our drinks were not even refreshed once while we were there. We ordered the lamb, and a filet. Both were good- but expected a little more lamb for the price. We ordered macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes as sides, the macaroni and cheese was good however the mashed potatoes were just ok. Neither of them came out hot- just barely able to be considered warm. Did not try desert since we were ready to leave. There are better places in Chicago if you’re going to be spending your money for a nice dinner.

Food, drinks & service were phenomenal but it is VERY EXPENSIVE!! Parking: $15 parking in Sheraton parking garage for Shula's patrons Kid-friendliness: Definitely geared towards adults

Sad place. Sat 10 mins at a dirty bar. No service. Atmosphere is more like a tasteless sportsbar than a high end stake house. Didn't inspire me to eat or drink. Would rather walk in the cold Chicago rain to another restaurant than wait for a stale experience here.
