You can taste the love that is poured into each individual piece of this meal, thank you Chef Jimmy for a spectacular evening, and let me not forget about the amazing deinks Sara served.
Truly a five star experience from start to finish
Outstanding. Innovative treatments of top quality nigiri and delicious additional dishes without ever veering into novelty or over the top flavors that obscure the fish rather than complement it (as so many Dallas sushi tends to do). Plus solid hip-hop selections.
You have to go and experience it all. A picture would not begin to show this first-class restaurant. Jimmy, the owner and chef, exceeded our expectations from the time we walked into and when we left. The food was exquisite. A wonderful Christmas gift for the two of us. Magical evening with 19 course dinner.
Incredible Omakase and love for the craft
Great experience with my friends at Shoyo. We were trying to book a table for 3. The app was having some difficulties. But I emailed them, they responded very fast and solved the problem right away. The parking was kinda a hassle. If they have valet parking that would be better since there are only 12 customers during each session. Block out some parking space would be helpful. Shout out to Chef Kenny. He’s funny and professional. One of my friend has some dietary restrictions but they adjusted for her really well. We will come back for the food.
You've gotta check out Shoyo! When I heard it only seats about 12 people and has a waitlist, I was skeptical. But let me tell you, it's a pleasant surprise. This place is all about simple elegance. No fancy decor or blaring music, just a relaxed vibe that's perfect for conversations and savoring your food. And the best part? You get a front-row view of the chefs in action, creating amazing sashimi and other dishes. It's like you've been transported from a small gem in Lower Greenville to a cozy NYC kitchen. The staff is very nice and super attentive without being intrusive, they have Ninja-like moves. The food has this cool one-bite rule, so you really get to enjoy every flavor. Personally, I couldn't get enough of their sashimi – it's top-notch. Now, it's not the kind of place you'll visit all the time, but here's the scoop: They're opening a new spot, and it's first-come, first-served. All-in-all, it’s worth the waitlist and price. It has everything high end restaurants have, minus the excessive pageantry and etiquette. Just 2 hours of flavorful bites, whiskey/cocktail, and simple decor.
I guess they’re too cool to have a telephone. Been wanting to try it out. I go there on a Thursday night and the door is locked. I tried to call, but they don’t have a listing.
