Absolutely delicious food, I savored every bite of it definitely coming back to try all their plates!
This was my first time trying out Morrocan cuisine. It had very good reviews. The inside was very beautiful. They had an adequate amount of seating. You can find street parking nearby. Service was good. Prices were standard for being in Chicago. Portion sizes were sufficient for two people. We ordered lamb fez and merguez. They were equally very tasty and filling. Lamb fez has a big piece of lamb in a stew with prunes, cinnamon, almonds, and honey. Hard boiled eggs are served with it. The lamb was cooked well, meat was very tender and juicy. Merguez is a dish with homemade sausage stuffed with ground lamb and beef. They’re on top of couscous and vegetables. Sausage was bursting with flavor. Lamb and beef is such a great combination.
We went to Shokran based on my sons suggestion. We ordered Harira, Chicken Casablanca, Spicy Garlic shrimp, Chicken Kebab. Chicken was seasoned very nicely. It was tender and nicely cooked. Vegetables on side did not have any seasoning. I wish they add some seasoning to that. Over all great ambience, nice food and service. One thing to be aware of - cash only. There is big sign at the entrance. Still entire family missed to read the sign when we entered and luckily we had cash
The food was good but The guy with glasses was rude and bad talking
