We are regulars. We love Shogun. The service is great along with the food.
The food itself is good. I have a food allergy to shrimp. They made my food separately and brought it out way before anybody else was eating. All the hibachi places in my lifetime would just cook the shrimp last. With that said there was 6 of us at my table and I could not eat or share with in any of their food Due to the fact that the cook mixed the shrimp utensils with cooking everything. I paid $200 plus for a meal and could not touch a piece of my daughter's steak or eat anybodys leftovers.. not happy. Portions or small comparable. 10$ for noodles that say are for 2 but the portions is tiny
Maybe it was an off night, but we sat at a hibachi table for almost an hour before a chef came. The server did her very best to keep drinks, etc. coming, but one person in our party waited 30 minutes or more for her first drink - maybe a bar issue. Once he came (surely the delay wasnt his fault), the chef was a real pleasure, the food was good (I can certainlyrecommend the scallops!), and the manager did comp the alcohol for our party of twelve, which we appreciated. Atmosphere could use some updating/cleanup, but the smaller rooms are a nice touch vs. one giant room like many similar places.
The place is nice. The food is good but a bit pricy. What I like about Dinner is that they give you ice cream at the end.
Food's great. Service is great. Very strangely, they don't offer a children's menu at lunch, but they do at dinner... The same portion that costs $10.95 at dinner costs $15.95 at lunch. When you've got 5 kids with you, that adds up fast!
Overall a good place to eat at a reasonable price
Gracious host / server. Did an excellent job on the cocktails, too! Try the saki martini- it just changes the texture to match the entree. The chef did a fabulous presentation on the dinner preparation.
