Shogun Fusion

My brother with his family and I went here like 5+ times before tonight and we loved the food. We’re obsessed with Sashimi - salmon, tuna and mackerels. We never had any issues or problems with them in the past except the last two visits and tonight, this guy who’s a manager was micromanaging our orders. He appeared to be prejudging towards us coz we are Deaf Natives and refused to give us the exact amounts of food as we been knowing how much we can eat and we have money to pay for our meals, even for extra fees. Based on what our waitress told us via notepad she said - He’s trying to micromanaging our meals because he doesn’t think we have money coz we’re Natives. Tonight we left feeling unsatisfied and still hungry. Other waitresses were nice to us but not this manager guy. Watch out for him. We’ll never come back here again. Food was great but not the service.

Disappointed with the manager's attitude and he micromanaged our orders because he thought we cannot pay for the food We have money even extras if we couldn't finish it but we ended up finished it all he was prejudicing us because we are native and Deaf Shame on this manager I already confronted them The waitresses tried their best but it was all on the manager if I could give them a zero Star I would!!

** Update: went again and I'm happy to say that they have service sorted out! Really hoping it stays that way because it's our favorite AYCE!** We've been here several times and loved it, but recently the service has been awful unfortunately. We only got part of our order, we asked if there was more coming and they said no...so we ordered more stuff. We still didn't get most of the items we wanted. We got the wrong soup, random rolls.. They later showed up with things we hadn't ordered and when we refused to take it they realized it belonged to a different table. I believe the issue is that the servers are mixing up all the tables so you are getting random items. I hope they figure out the service side of things because we LOVE the food here. We've introduced many friends to thing restaurant but won't be introducing anyone else until we know the service has been fixed. We were a bit embarrassed last time we brought friends there.

I’m going to give you the pros and the cons to this restaurant. Im pretty sure they still have free underground parking (I have been going here since I was a kid). This is a plus seeing as parking downtown is rarely free. They offer an all you can eat option, great for the individual on a budget wanting to eat as much as they can. The menu has a lot of variety. They offer Japanese, Vietnamese, and some Western options (burger and fries). So this would be a great place to bring those picky eaters to, while you enjoy your sushi. Now here are the cons. They need to hire more serving staff. Our lady who was serving us, as a table of 10, was running around serving half the restaurant. While she was trying her best, I felt bad for her. Other patrons who are not as understanding may not want to return due to slow service. Perhaps someone (serving staff) was sick that Friday evening. Nonetheless, it still isn’t a great impression with other customers. The last con I have, is that they took out the hibachi grills. Unfortunately, this time around I forgot to take photos. Try this place out if you’re willing to be patient. I would return.

Good food and service was pretty good as well. The offer some Viatnamese dishes with their AYCE, which is nice. The Sashimi was smaller then other places. They offer some good rolls and different option like skewers. The beef tatami was very good. We got reservations for Saturday night at 730 and had little wait for our table and our first order. The only issue was the last order was a little slow but was rectified quickly. Would recommend for AYCE. Dietary restrictions: Offer many Gluten-free options.

Eveything was delicious! Our food came out promptly. Thanks to our awesome server as well :)

Great place for AYCE sushi! Plenty of hot options for those that aren't looking for/don't like sashimi and sushi!
