I did the omakasea and the food was amazing. Like hands down the best sushi you will ever eat. Customer service before, is waiting in a dirty closet. The bathroom is down a dirty hall, shared and you need a code to use it. Seating was late. But yeah the chefs and meals were amazing. Especially loving umami for the first time. I would go back for the food, not the service.
So good! This meal was a real highlight on my trip to Seattle
Second time dining at the bar. We did the Shiro’s Omakase (4 courses, 15 pieces) and two bottles of the Nigori. Plus, two additional pieces of nigiri, and mochi for dessert. The chefs here are amazing artisans and take special care with allergies (my wife has celiac). Our chef explained many of the different aspects about the fish that we were being served, and was very knowledgeable and friendly to answer any questions. The entire course consisted of two appetizers: a plate with a variety of delicacies, and a monkfish soup. What followed was the most amazing assortment of 17 pieces of sushi that I have ever tasted. Certain ones melt in your mouth, others have a crunch, but every single sense is awakened during the meal. If you have high expectations for sushi, look no further. But make a reservation or show up early to stand in line. It’s a popular place. Dietary restrictions: My wife has celiac and the hostess, waiter, and chef all confirmed her dietary restriction and prepared her food on a separate surface. They omitted certain ingredients and used a made in-house tamari instead of soy sauce.
Best omakase I have been in Seattle!
This was one of the most exquisite, unique and interesting eating experiences I have ever had. The sushi was in a totally different, higher class than I have ever experienced! The Omakase was perfect! There was even a soup that was completely unfamiliar to me yet still felt like "Mom's comfort food" somehow. All the staff are excellent, fun and welcoming! I can't recommend Shiro's Sushi enough! It was stellar!!
Walked in, no reservation, just wanted to sit at Sushi bar. Only offered $85 7-9 course meal?? NO!
Incredible quality. I was visiting Seattle and on my own this evening so didn’t feel like dining in. I was able to place. A takeout order, which I found to be a plus since the menu is more broad for takeout. I received an estimated pickup time and when I arrived my order was ready to go. Absolutely amazing quality of sushi…and the rice, too. The place was buzzing with energy when I was picking up on a Saturday evening and I look forward to going back with my Hubble on a future trip to experience the dining room or sushi bar.
