Shipp Brothers Brewing Restaurant & Taproom

With so many great restaurants and bars in the Newark area why go here? Food was okay, but not worth the long wait times. After waiting 25 minutes for a server to even come by the table being seated our four food orders took a considerable amount of time and one entree was forgotten, (a salad), which came to the table 15 to 20 minutes after the other orders. The place seams to lack a competent manager and is relying on a staff of really young servers who don’t seam to have received much of any training. I hope others have a better experience here but I can’t recommend it.

Very busy evening as Night Ranger is at the Midland..was able to make a reservation at Shipp Brothers and everything was amazing! Service, food, and management so friendly and on top of everything! Make a reservation and try it! You won't regret it!

Shipp brothers is one of the best places in town! Food is always incredible and the wait staff is wonderful as well! I’ve eaten here SEVERAL time and the meatballs and garlic bread appetizer I had today were the best app on the menu!

Wonderful place! Great food and service. Love the beer wall concept. Owner is awesome. Very hands on!

I waited to order. That took 20 minutes. I received my appetizer and then waited an hour on a grilled chicken sandwich before paying for my drink, app, and leaving without my sandwich and side.

Enjoyed our anniversary dinner here. Great BC sandwich and wife had fish tacos. Brussel sprouts were really good too.

Love coming here. Is one of the highlights for me every time I'm in town. The alcohol milkshakes are great with or without alcohol; I've tried every flavor. The foods I've had are just as good. I also like the set up of getting drinks. Once you get the hang of it, it's great. The fact that we can mix and match, I wish more bars had this set up.
