We started with a sashimi plate with 3 fishes, octopus, tuna and salmon. The salmon was great, tuna was dry and tasteless and the octopus was very salty, moving on we ordered nigiri shrimp (good not great), and tuna (same as on sashimi, dry). Ordered 3 things. Oysters which were recommended over the gyoza, edamame and tempura shrimp. 3 strikes, You could not find the oysters as they were small and had huge amounts of mascarpone cheese, edamame was seriously over cooked and the tempura shrimp though presented nicely were more like what you would get in a US Long John's Silver's
Great food and service every visit. Recommend reservations, but they do accept walk-in customers.
Rude lady manager. I was about to go in the bathroom door and she asked me to leave because they had a private party. She didn’t even let me used the bathroom. Never coming here again.
The service was very good and the staff is professional and knowledgeable. The food quality is excellent and they will customize your menu selections- all of it prepared fresh. A great choice for a quality sushi experience in the Dallas metroplex that won’t cost you an arm and a leg. They also have some non-sushi items on the menu as well. I’ll be back.
Delicious food, cocktails were on point, and all with great service. Just like Lovers Seafood, Shinsei is fantastic. Flame grilled salmon roll and Lynae’s Sashimi were easily some of the best sushi we’ve ever had. Toro was fresh and quality meat, but I would recommend focusing on the special rolls and sashimi since they seem to have refined the flavor there. Will definitely be back.
