People said it’s the best ramen restaurant in Calgary. But I can say that it’s not comparable with those ramen shops in Japan. Noodles: 9/10 (good texture, for all sizes of noodles) Soup: 6/10 (the original pork soup is good but it tastes like MSG) Pork Cha Siu: 3/10 (the meat has no fat and is not tender at all) Deep fried chicken: 8/10 (quite good actually) Long line. And mapo tofu/ spicy peanut dan dan soup are definitely Chinese cuisine. Not Japanese…
Probably one of the best ramen place in Calgary. Always a line up outside and they only serve a set amount of units per day then they'll close so either be there really early or try your luck around 1 ish. And because it is always packed it's a dine and go situation as they don't want you to occupy the table for too long so if you want to chat for a while, eat here then move on to the next place to continue your conversations. Music is kinda loud again maybe a deterrent for the squatters lol. Food is excellent as always.
I don't get the hype about this place. We line up outside for about 30mins. The tonkotsu ramen is below decent. The broth tastes fake. The chasu is below average. The goma ramen is too salty. The noodles does have a good texture though. The karaage is bland. Rating it 1.5/5 just because of their service and I feel really generous about it. Not worth the money. Find other ramen place.
Best ramen in Calgary. You may need to wait for a table but it's worth it
I have been here many many times And never been disappointed. The service is always great as is the food. I had the goma mazemen for the first time today and it's delicious. Every other time I have had the chili goma. Yes it's that good!
