Shigs on Fairfield has really gone downhill the past few years. The quality of the food is inconsistent and the staff isn't always great. Not worth the price any more... at this location anyway. We walked in tonight an hour before they closed. They were busy wiping down tables and vacuuming. One staff member made a comment to someone in the kitchen about not wanting to be there all night as loudly as possible as we walked up to the register. We had planned to sit down to enjoy our dinner but decided to take our food to go after hearing that. Got home with our food to find crumbly, super dry pulled pork as if they gave us the scrapings from the bottom of the pan. Mac n cheese was pretty flavorless and extremely greasy. Our side of potatoes and jalapeno sausage were pretty decent this time around. Sad to see the original Shigs location like this now. I used to love walking over for lunch or dinner to enjoy their BBQ.
Used to come here frequently but haven't in awhile. A bit disappointed with their quality recently. All I got was crumbles of pulled pork and the mac n cheese was dry and not cheesy at all. Came an hour before closing and you would have thought they were closing in 5 minutes. Jalapeño sauce was tasty per usual.
Shigs and Pit has always been a fun place to try down town. Personally I loved the burnt ends a d the pulled pork. All the sides are good, but not the reason to go back or to recommend. Lunch deals are the way to go
Wonderful catering experience for our lunch and learn for our employees! Always good food and a treat for them. Alison was very personable and more than accommodating with our order. Great restaurant to have on this side of town. Thank you so much.
Great job..delicious food
