Coming in, I was excited. The place was clean and friendly; the cashier was conversational as they took my order to go, and explained to me what the jumbo is. The spiced chai was at worst, a factory settings blend you can find at a gas station with nothing new, and at best, flavored milk. I had an open-faced turkey reuben and a pastrami on rye, but wasn't impressed by either. The reuben was fast to leak into the bread, making it soggy, accompanied by turkey that has seen better days. The pastrami itself was delicious. It had bite, was packed with flavor, and the fat nearly melted in my mouth. What I find wrong is to pack that beautiful meat in what felt like slightly stale store-bought rye bread with a slice of square munster cheese from the same store I assume. $45 should not be what I pay for those two half-size sandwiches and a coffee; however close to 5 Points it might be. I will be back for the cheesecake.
I hired Shep's Deli to cater breakfast to a brewery after a workout class for our group! The brought everything in dishes that we could easily toss after and the bagels were DELICIOUS! Would highly recommend. Thanks again!
We had a really bad experience here but come to find out Shep’s was an hour and a half away from closing its doors permanently. It’s a shame our first and only experience at this restaurant was through the lens of the location closing… the concept had potential.
Food was good not great prices were a bit high for what you got. Was a great one time experience.
Great breakfast with different options than the usual. David was our server and was welcoming and efficient. First time here and we will be back!
Gave Shep’s three tries and was less impressed each time. I’m a big NYC deli fan so I had high hopes. Stale bread on my pastrami sandwich the last time and cole slaw that tasted like it came from Kroger. Pickles weren’t bad. Service meh.
Was able to bring back great NY memories and the food was great.
