Not a bad location or service from my experience. The food was just awful, my steak ordered rare was cooked medium well and the quality of the meat was probably the worst part. Obviously was not expecting quality, Italian food in Clarksville but Olive Garden quality would have been a lot better…should’ve stuck to the burgers or wings on the bottom floor. Trattoria is way out over their skis with their ambitions, skill level, and quality of ingredients.
Admittedly this was a hard night with a sold out Bert Kreisher show and downtown having an influx of 5,500 people. The restaurant appeared understaffed in waitstaff, as well as the kitchen staff. Service went at a snails pace. We ended sitting at the bar. The entire waitstaff looked completely overwhelmed and deadpan expressions despite having at least 5-6 empty tables and no line at the door. It gave the vibe of toxic work environment (I certainly hope not) or a collective need train staff on stress management, waiting on multiple tables and friendliness. Everyone kept their heads down- working hard for sure….but had to call out to get anyone’s attention. Didn’t feel like we actually were waited on properly. We were able to get in and out in less than an hour because we ordered drinks (wine and beer) and appetizers ONLY and paid as soon as we were done ordering. We all wanted dinner but heard the kitchen was slow and didn’t want to risk being late for the show. I think our instincts were spot on. To the owners - I would highly encourage you to go under cover to the restaurant on a night like this to figure out where the disconnect is. Does the waitstaff need training on stress management and multitasking, a reminder of how to smile through a chaotic busy night? How is management handling a night like this and treating/leading their staff? Overall, it was a very weird night. I always give places second chances but I was very underwhelmed and disappointed because this place has so much potential. I hope the next time I try it, they work out the kinks.
I did not find it to be a place that I would favor, but it may be a great place for others...
Enjoyed our dinner very much. Food and drinks were excellent!
One of the best Italian restaurants in Clarksville
customer service was over the top unprofessional and borderline surprising that the place is even open because of it. cleanliness was very poor. and food takes over 40 minutes or more to receive. we started upstairs and the female bartender upstairs around 3:30 pm (4/7/24) had no personality and was just rude. And then went downstairs to try and start over and it was no difference. The bartender that took over at 4pm (4/7/24) sat on her cell phone at the end of the bar and never checked on anyone and also had no personality. Food was very delayed, soggy fries, batter on chicken falling off. Definitely wouldn’t waste your time or money. We read reviews before hand but still wanted to give it a shot. Never again.
Loved it! Considering that this is a brand new restaurant and it is this amazing just blows my mind, keep up the hard work and omg whoever the chef is please keep making those awesome recipes! Food is delicious!
been to Shelby’s trio a few times. Today I tried Joe’s Garage for brunch and the shrimp and polenta was delicious! The staff is very friendly. The roof top is definitely a vibe. I guess my only complaint is I never care for the drinks and the cups are served in a plastic cup. Excited to try out the middle floor. The food never disappoints
first time visiting. sunday noon. really wanted Italian but 2nd floor is closed until 4pm. advertised as open for brunch, but no. 3rd floor had one server. no. 1st floor was ok. our server was great, bartender disappeared for a while so waited for drinks. food was pretty good. large portions. this place has been open a while and should be more efficient and organized than it was. also, it’s clarksville, tn. just open the damn restaurants so people can eat.
