The food was great ! My favorite is their Mapo Tofu with pork. It was an amazing taste. Their chicken curry in clay pot was delicious as well. A little disappointed on the chicken wings. It says Fried dry chicken wings, but it came out very saucy . Their service was slow that night, they were very busy and only two waiters working. They served my Mapo Tofu without pork when I ordered it with pork. Of course, I wasn't happy about that. I'm willing to pay more for it. I politely told them about it, and they changed it. I'm glad I spoke up. Overall, I'm planning to come back and try it again someday.

I absolutely love eating here. Food, will never disappoint!

We love the Gwai Wer Noodles and the dry sautéed string beans. Some of the time, we get a second order of the noodles to take home with, so we have some leftover.

It has been a few years since I had eaten at Shandong. I was pleasantly surprised that the restaurant was as good as I remembered it. Prices are still reasonable and service is decent. Both the pork belly fried rice and the chicken noodle soup were delicious. The fried rice had a decent amount of pork fried with a few veggies and a bit of egg. The .noodle soup was filled with home made noodles and had shitake caps , chicken and a few veggies in it as well. We ended up taking about half of the portion home. Recommended

I thought I would have a great experience based off the other reviews, but let me tell you: the server didn’t know the difference between white meat or dark meat. I specifically said I wanted white meat- meaning chicken breast, she agreed she understood but managed to still bring out dark meat. She never checked back with us to see if we needed a refill on water and she forgot to bring sauces and had to be reminded after a hour. I will not be going back.

There is a Chinese restaurant 3 blocks from my apartment but I drive 40 blocks round trip to eat here because it is that much better. Clearly identified vegetarian options! Soy curls! House made noodles! The vegan pot stickers are amazing. Do not expect fast service on Christmas Day. This place gets busy!

We did pick up but it was nice and clean inside. We love the Spicy Fried Tofu! Sooo good and the noodles and veggies!!

I used to love Shandong, but when we went there this week my partner and I could only choke down a few bites -- almost all the food went into the trash. We ordered broccoli beef and sweet and sour chicken -- both tasted horrible, the chicken seemed old and was greyish in color (and no extra sweet and sour sauce for the rice -- DID I MENTION THE RCIE COSTS EXTRA?!). The beef had a strange rubbery texture and and indescribably weird taste. My sweetheart felt sick for two days after eating--sad, because we had to go find some dinner after our time at Shandong and when we finally sat down with our cardboard boxed food from a food cart, he had no appetite. The server was nice enough but when we got up to leave and refused a to-go box, she looked stressed out like she'd seen it before. A VERY EXPENSIVE EXPERIENCE CONSIDERING THE FOOD WAS INEDIBLE.

This is probably my favorite Chinese restaurant in Portland. The crab puffs are super crabby and well seasoned, not the garlic cream cheese puffs you get at other places. My favorite entree is the pork belly fried rice, never fails. The atmosphere is cozy.
