Solid shabu-shabu spot. Came with a group of friends who lived in Japan for a few years and missed the experience and they said it was incredibly authentic. This a great place to bring a group of people, but definitely make reservations!

A cozy joint, it’s bright and clean inside. Reservation definitely recommend! My friend and I had a nice shabu shabu dinner. We ordered the Prime Rib Eye Beef and Shrimp. Good quality beef and shrimp were fresh (bouncy texture). We also got the Beef Tongue Bibim Bap which was really flavorful, I am a big fan and love the crispy layer of rice from the hot stoneware.

They have a double door situation to help insulate but because the two doors are close together, it does not help; people usually open both doors and if it's cold out, all that cold air rushes in. So if you're seated near the entrance, the chances are you'll be quite cold until you have a hotpot or grill going in front of you. The whole place just seems cramped. It seems like they went through a renovation but IMO they would've benefited from less number of tables. Their beef tongue was very tough when grilled, even when following the server's instruction to grill 10-15 seconds per side. Would not recommend. Their wagyu beef shabu was excellent. Quite pricy, however, and at 2 orders minimum, it amounts to $160! But, they do give you enough to get 2 people quite full, so maybe worth if you're really into shabu.

If you're in search of exceptional Japanese cuisine, Shabu-Tatsu is the place to be! Our experience there was nothing short of amazing, particularly with their sukiyaki. This dish isn't just a meal; it's an interactive culinary adventure where you get to "cook" your food to perfection, making the dining experience both fun and memorable. The ingredients provided for the sukiyaki were of the highest quality - fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Cooking them ourselves at the table added an enjoyable and personal touch to the meal. The broth was rich and savory, complementing the fresh ingredients perfectly. Shabu-Tatsu's atmosphere enhances the dining experience, striking a balance between cozy and authentic. The staff were attentive and helpful, guiding us through the sukiyaki process and ensuring we had everything we needed for a perfect meal. For anyone craving top-notch Japanese cuisine with a unique twist, Shabu-Tatsu is a must-visit. It's a place where food meets art and where dining becomes an experience rather than just a routine. Highly recommended for a fantastic meal and a great time. Five stars all the way!
