A shockingly mediocre and somewhat heartbreaking culinary experience. None of the four appetizers we got (burrata, bruschetta, Caesar salad, calamari) could be defined as “good”. Calamari was spongy and soggy, the bruschetta had little to no flavor, burrata was meh, Caesar salad was perhaps the most appetizing dish out of the four, but still disappointing. I got the spinach and goat cheese salad that was really, really bad. Like I’m quite confident they improvised the dish on the spot and never ever before served it to anybody. Let’s begin by unpacking its title, “goat cheese salad,” which is a bit ambitious for what the dish actually entailed. It was really a pit of stale spinach, doused in a mystery sweet sauce, fenced in by four tiny slices of toast with what was on top probably the worst-grade, low quality little chunks of goat cheese I have ever had (dry, cakey, dry). I did try my friend’s cacio e Pepe, which was quite tasty. The house Chardonnay was not bad either. Our server had his head in the clouds and generally lacked the authority/aptness one would expect from waitstaff, not knowing current availability of specials and items, forgetting plates, etc. Maybe new on the job? Had I not been here for a birthday dinner, this place would not be my first choice, and I won’t be back.
Greeted very warmly when we walked in. Food was so/so. My daughter got chicken parm... tasted... herbal? Idk how to explain it, but eh... lobster ravioli was good. My pasta was ok.. ceasar salad was actually my fav part of the meal. Kids grilled chicken & noodles w/sauce were as simple as expected. Mezcal drink was good. Kentucky mule tasted very watered-down... swapped it for a different drink with no problem.
Small restaurant, food was decent at best, don’t bother calling because they will never answer the phone.
