bright coffee Cafe with lots of natural light. A fair amount of tables. Well spaced to allow mobility devices easy access. Usually only one staff working, therefore tables may be slow to be wiped up. Variety of cakes, pre-made sandwiches and both hot and cold beverages. Staff are friendly. Cafe is located in Empress walk mall on 2nd floor. Dietary restrictions: Almond biscotti are gluten free. The are a variety of alternative milk options.
Rude clerk and burn coffee, better go Tim Hortons.
Me and my son had two cookies and gave us food poisoning. Vomiting the entire day. Never going here again.
I had a good London fog here, nice place for a quick bite or drink while at the mall.
I love second cup coffee and the empress walk outlet is great, except when you get served by someone (a lady called Kim) who makes you feel sorry for ordering and whose mind is obviously elsewhere. She first gives me a wrong price (price for a triple espresso machiato when i had asked for a double). After correction of the price i get a double espresso...not a machiato)...further lecture given that they dont actually serve a machiato, but she could add some foam if I wanted). The foam was added with a mile long attitude. She needs serious level of training in (i) Second cup's products and (ii) how to deal with customers...something like customer service 101. She will only help damage your brand further.
Visited early afternoon and the place was pretty quiet. I were served efficiently by the friendly staff. The coffee was good and the price was reasonable.
