Hot dogs were small and looked like they were from the grocery store not what we expected they should do jumbo hot dogs and the chilli was can chilly that gave us a bad stomach ake and tasted like taco meat and the hot dog was over cook
Being a bit generous with this review as I am attempting to not be biased. Place looks brighter, tables are clean, there are a few outdoor seats. However, it does not compare to when the old owners had it. The atmosphere has no uniqueness or palpable excitement anymore. The menu has become so standard to any other local place that I do not know if I will be back. The Hotdog no longer has any flavor or uniqueness of toppings that attracted us the first time here. Names of menu items no longer piqued our interest. They now have combination orders for an all-inclusive price which is one of the only nice things that have changed not having to pay for everything individually. A few souvenirs of such a historical place should be available but from what I saw it has turned or is being turned into more of a tourist-oriented location and no longer a place for the locals to really enjoy. Staff were also not as friendly as before although they were polite and well mannered. Parking: Parking is a tight squeeze for large vehicles or SUVS but there is some off-street parking options offered. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp that leads up to front door along with one or two tables along the way.
The hot dogs were great ! We will be going back. The special the day we went included bag of chips and free ice cream.
Always a great place to eat. Very friendly staff and very good food. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp
The remodel is a Fail. I used to love this place but, I won't be back. The food preparation is now hidden behind a huge wall, the friendly counter where you could sit and wait is gone, the overhead menu is gone (bring your glasses, the paper menu at the counter is small), 2 of the "new" tables don't fit your knees, and everything is Brown. Not worth it.
There's always room for a hotdog
Nice old train station, good place for breakfast, and lunch
I love the new owners and what they have done with the restaurant! They sell lots of local art including their own embroidered towels and shirts etc. Today I stopped in for their new homemade meatballs sandwich and it was absolutely fantastic I am a hard critic of meatballs, they were not over powering, moist and tender. I love their dipping egg sandwich (my personal name for it), great idea! And I also frequent for the Ruben sandwich. The potato salad is also great with nothing over powering. It has great decor, atmosphere and friendly staff. The ice cream is delicious Prices are comparable to other local restaurants. Parking: There's probably a good 10 spots in front Kid-friendliness: It's just a kid friendly atmosphere of trains Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp to the front door and large bathrooms
