Scopa Italian Roots

Well, I was expecting fine dining and a better atmosphere. Being seated indoors, on a busy day, you're among maybe 60+ people. Outdoors was appalling to see as well. The restaurant is not intimate , sure the food is culinarily appealing, but honestly I would not find myself interested in repeating or recommending this place to someone else.

One of my favorite Venice spots! The food is delicious, the service outstanding. Absolutely have the ricotta crostini with the gluten free bread (trust me) and the raw Brussels sprouts salad. Dietary restrictions: Great gluten free options and knowledgeable staff

Absolutely delicious! Had reservations for 4, seated early and our server Sean approached us promptly and our drinks were ordered. He was attentive thru or entire visit and suggested many options. . We had an array of delicious appetizers followed by a variety of well prepared main dishes. My lasagna was a large portion of a well balanced, perfectly cooked piece of love. There was also a huge T-bone steak ordered that was cooked and seasoned to perfection. And the 4 pieces of cannoli finished the evening. Bravo Scopa, will surely visit again.

Great for authentic italian food, recommended by my friend who lives in venice beach. Everything I tried was great: Ricotta, Crostini, Oysters, Cavatelli, Pappardelle Pasta, T-Bone, Chocolate Panna Cotta. Dessert and wine was also good. Only thing I didn't like was that the lighting was too dim.

As a huge fan of Antonia Lofaso I was super excited to try this restaurant. It exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere is trendy, relaxed, warm, & inviting. Good for friends, families, and date night. Our server Lauren was delightful, helpful, & attentive, as was the rest of the staff. Our cocktails were unique & delicious. We opted for the cheese bread and mortadello meatballs, that were even a hit w/ my picky eater. For entrees, the lobster ravioli was fantastic, & we enjoyed the pappardelle, & chicken parmesan. We saved a little room for the mini cannolis, a gelato, & cookies to go. It was a perfectly enjoyable dinner. I highly recommend for that special treat, & will look forward to my next evening there, or possibly brunch!

Amazing food experience! Everything was well balanced and full of flavor! The atmosphere inside is a vibe in itself. The outdoor atmosphere is more laid back and chill. It’s nice and on the quieter side if you have a child or want to have a dinner and conversation. I recommend the pesto meatballs or rice ball for starters. The T-bone steak is tender and full of flavor. The pork chops have a beautifully balanced demiglaze and are super tender. The fingerling potatoes on top of the pork chop are crispy and full of flavor. The Brussels sprouts salad is to die for! Every bite had texture with the nuts and grapes. The ricotta cheesecake was amazing too. For dessert, the kicker was the box of cookies. These cookies are made in-house and are literally the best cookies I’ve had. They are muted in sweetness, nice vanilla notes throughout and have a few options in one box. A cookies to eat with a latte or drip coffee. Definitely worth the cost
