I've been here before and had better experiences, but this time was really not good. The prices are very high for mediocre food options. I ordered a gluten free flat bread, of my photo is visible you will see what it looked like, the crust was just raw dough but even if it had been cooked certainly not worth $13. It was also served on a tray that was way too large for the table. I think that's part of the school theme but also really inconvenient. Our server even said it looked "disgusting", I sent it back and they removed the price from our bill but didn't offer anything else for the inconvenience of not getting to eat lunch. Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu and crayons but the dishes they serve kids food in are not very kid friendly. The cutlery was definitely not appropriate for a toddler, but she was happy to eat with her hands
My favorite old town restaurant
Went here for the whiskey selection. Stayed for the food
The awesome: Fried pickles, Salmon sandwich, many beers on tap, hardworking staff, schoolhouse atmosphere, fairly priced The meh: old Town Arvada parking, a little bit cold inside on a 32° day, Chicken Fried Steak and gravy (just needed a bit more salt and pepper), and I feel so guilty for keep saying this...but service businesses need to hire more personnel - the workers were working hard but just needed a bit more help to turn frantic action into fluid delivery.
Great food and amazing whiskey. Service was solid and it wasn’t too loud
Varied menu, large selection of "libations" and creative food.
Don't get the chicken Parm! It has no flavor. The poutine was okay but way too salty. The decor was cool and I loved the atmosphere but the food and drinks were just not great.
