Scarpetta is a solid choice. Great food while not being overly pricey for what it is. Hard not to fill up on the provided bread as their salami bread and spreads are excellent. The shrimp carpaccio and squid ink pasta were my two favorites. The restaurant itself has a nice ambiance and interesting decor, although it does get quite busy during peak hours, especially near the bar area. This can make the place feel a bit crowded, but it's not too much of an issue if you don’t mind the hustle and bustle. Have been here several times, one of them we ended up waiting over 45 minutes for a reservation that we already had. The manager eventually dealt with it properly but it should not have happened in the first place. However, all other visits have been smooth so I will mark it up as a fluke. Overall, Scarpetta is worth a visit if you're in the mood for upscale Italian cuisine that’s solid value for money. Just be aware that it might be best to avoid peak times if you’re looking for a quieter dining experience.
Alot of money for a small amount of food. Fine dining classic. Good atmosphere, service was excellent. Tended to our needs well. Wish food was alittle more filling thats all.
Solid but limited menu. No veal. Duck, lamb good. India was excellent.
An all around amazing experience! Food and drinks were incredible - it’s definitely expensive but worth it for a special occasion!!
This is an Italian based restaurant, and the food is good. The restaurant has a vibe, and was pretty packed for a Wednesday evening. I’d go back and try something different on the menu. We had a few appetizers, of which I would probably keep ordering the octopus. My team ordered all the desserts; the chocolate cake was rich, the cheesecake was my favorite.
A fabulous iconic Italian restaurant in the city. They are known for their spaghetti and tiramisu, but there are plenty of other great dishes to try!
Super delicious but very expensive! Came here on a casual business dinner and it was great but truthfully I wouldn’t come back and pay out of my own pocket lol. The atmosphere is definitely busier than I expected it to be, even on a weekday night. I wouldn’t come here if you’re looking to converse, but it’s lively in a nice way! The food was great but I think you can find other Italian restaurants just as good that are a bit less expensive. The octopus was burrata were my two favs. The pasta pictured was simple but tasty.
Great. Just really great. Followed the waiter’s recommendations and got the polenta starter which was amazing. Then the short rib & bone marrow agnolotti which looked a little small when it arrived, but rest assured it was filling and the portion size was perfect.
