This is a new local favorite. My husband and I have come here a couple times and each time have basically ordered everything we think we can fit in our stomachs because it all sounded super delicious. It was. I cannot express how much I love the himachi shooters. We went for happy hour one time and ordered two, slurped them up, and ordered two more immediately after. The food comes out quickly, it's all delicious and the staff is nice as hell
Wonderful service, amazing food and just good vibes. I never bother to write reviews, but I gotta write this one. A gem in downtown Oakland!
The food was very good and decent portions too. It was quick too. Got the basil chicken saucy set and it was really good.
Love this place. Came back for just dessert tonight. The pandan creme brulee is amazing. Always love their garlic noodles and Thai corn dogs too if you're having a meal. Atmosphere is colorful and lively but not overwhelming. Staff are always friendly and attentive.
Adding to one of our favorite places to eat in Oakland. We had a few gift cards from trivia at Sante Adarius a couple doors down, and have always talked about going to Saucy. Took us a while, but glad we decided to go here for date night. The place is cute and romantic. We loved that it was busy, but not loud or crowded. The food was excellent. The dishes came out at a good pace. We weren't ever waiting long or feeling overwhelmed by too many dishes on the table. My favorite was the hamachi spoons, my gf loved the garlic noodles. The service was really great! It seemed like a place where all the employees helped each other out, but our main server was incredibly nice, attentive, and accommodating. Will definitely come back and recommend to our friends and family.
I have been to Saucy twice now and I cannot stop recommending it. The staff are truly welcoming and make great recommendations. The ambience is ideal for friend night or date night. Great wall art, music, lighting and general decor. The drinks are fun and phenomenal. We had the passion fruit Sake and the guava/strawberry Sake. These were so fresh and well mixed. The food. Oh my goodness, the food! The Himachi spoon shooters cannot be overstated- so much flavor; a must! The pork belly lettuce wraps are also one of my faves- so tender, juicy, and fresh. The Crab cakes , dear God those Crab cakes! You want fresh Crab cakes come here. They are beautifully served with a delicious sauce on top- such fresh crabeat meat. The garlic noodles are to die for. These are my favorite garlic noodles I have had. They will not disappoint. We also got the prawn pumpkin curry. This curry was so creamy and perfect for a cold night. I had some kind of bread pudding here that blew our minds! Honestly I can't wait to eat there again. Highly recommend! Wheelchair accessibility: I do not use a wheelchair, but when we were eating there a young woman arrived in her wheelchair and they accommodated her immediately.
This place is so cute and delicious. The pandan creme brulee is fantastic.
