Sassafras Southern Bistro

Visiting the area from Lexington KY and our Greer friends told us Sassafras was an absolute must visit while we were in town. We had the best waitress ever. Sally took great care of us, entertained us, and was very respectful of our University of Kentucky attire! The food and experience were exceptional. Thank you Sally!

I had the grilled chicken with green beans and mashed potatoes. All of it was delicious, hot and fresh. The portions are pretty big as we didn't have room for dessert. Our server was friendly and answered all of our questions and even had some recommendations. We will be back.

Best place to eat in Greenville!! Shirley is the best!

Great restaurant in downtown Greenville. Nice atmosphere, attentive service, and freshly made hot, delicious entrees. Great menu selection. Our only complaint was that the beignets were not your typical New Orleans style light, puffy creations. These were a hush puppy consistency so very dense and heavy. Tasty but not what we were expecting. Highly recommend a reservation.

An elegantly enjoyable restaurant at a fair price! Great atmosphere and incredible she crab soup! The owner is always there to greet and chat. Today I found him outside, working hard as usual. With his permission I thought you might like to see the difference a local owner can make!
