Pretty ambience with close proximity to the D Line Stop (Brookline Village, 3 minute walk). Service time is pretty quick, did not have to wait long (5 minutes!) Portion size is very satisfying, there is enough ramen and the miso is flavourful. I am so stuffed and I only had the Spicy Miso Ramen and water. I'll definitely be returning soon
More a 3.5 star though I'm not too much into ramen. This was the first time I ate there and likely will come back to try something else. I went for the miso ramen to be on the safe side. The broth was very rich but also had a lot of sodium. The service was fast though it didn't necessarily help the food: The soup is effectively assembled where the items such as the egg, meat and other toppings come from the fridge. The first experience is that you have a hot broth but the first experience you have is to bite into something cold. Nothing wrong with that but it just threw me a little bit off. Next time, I cool down the broth by heating the cold ingredients. They have a drink menu as well as serve rice bowls if ramen is not your thing.
I had a nice dinner at Sapporo Ramen while I was staying in Brookline. It's an easy walk from the Hilton Garden Inn. I had the Shoyu ramen w/black mushrooms added, and a side of spring rolls. It's not THE BEST ramen I've ever had, but it's pretty darn good, and was exactly what I wanted to warm up from a chilly evening. The server was attentive and knowledgeable about food allergies -- I asked for it without egg due to an allergy and she said all the right things. All in all, I'd eat here again.
Good ramen. Tried all three and all were really good depending on your mood.
I really liked this ramen place, the food was good and the service very nice.. Good job!
You can taste the best Nagasaki Champon here.
My son and I decided on Sapporo instead of Santouka Harvard Square. Wow! One of the best Ramen around.
