Edit: Updating my review to add that the bartender Donna makes the best old fashioned. If you stop in you MUST order one! We’ve been to this hotel and the Sapphire Room a few times. It’s a nice classy bar though not too upscale. Plenty of space at the bar or at tables. We stopped in on Saturday afternoon and there were a few people there as they had a wedding at the hotel and the Rangers were in town playing the Lightning. There’s usually one bartender so if it’s busier, service may be a little slower as they also wait on the tables. I’d say it’s a nice spot to stop if you appreciate the history of the hotel and bar and are looking for a quieter place to have a drink. They serve food here as well though I can’t speak for it. Also, they are only open on Friday and Saturday.

The drinks, food, and ambience are all great. The one downside is the limited food menu. We miss the great dinners we had in the upstairs dining room pre-pandemic, and hope against hope that the Floridan is not lost to us once again.

Nice classy ambience here. Abby is a very knowledgeable bartender. Her passion for craft cocktails is hard to ignore. The manager Jamie is very pleasant and helpful. Definitely check out their food too! Their kitchen is a hidden gem in Tampa!
