I dined at Sapido with high hopes, being avid fans of Italian cuisine. However, our experience turned out to be disappointing, to say the least. From the moment we entered, the atmosphere seemed promising, with cozy decor and a welcoming ambiance. As enthusiasts of Italian cuisine who frequently dine out, we eagerly anticipated tasting their carbonara, a dish close to our hearts. However, what arrived at our table can only be described as the worst rendition of carbonara we've ever encountered. The pasta was drowned in an overwhelming sea of saltiness, rendering it nearly inedible. As aficionados of this classic dish, we know that the saltiness should come from the pancetta or cured meat, blending harmoniously with the creamy sauce and perfectly cooked pasta. However, in this case, it was clear that the excessive saltiness was not a result of the ingredients but rather a heavy-handed approach to seasoning. To put this into perspective, as someone with a high tolerance for flavor and saltiness, even I found it unbearable. Despite our attempt to communicate our dissatisfaction to the waitress, her response was dismissive, claiming that the dish was supposed to be salty, which contradicted our extensive experience with Italian cuisine. Furthermore, the owner's reaction to our feedback was disappointing, as instead of addressing our concerns, he seemed more interested in lecturing us on our supposed ignorance of Italian culinary traditions. To add insult to injury, we couldn't help but overhear the owner and waitress complaining about our table from afar, which only added to the rudeness of their response. While we understand that taste preferences can vary, our disappointment stemmed not only from the overly salty dishes but also from the lack of acknowledgment and understanding from the restaurant staff. As seasoned diners who appreciate authentic Italian flavors, it's disheartening to encounter such a lackluster interpretation of a beloved classic. Regrettably, we cannot recommend this restaurant to fellow food enthusiasts, as our experience left much to be desired

Very good local Italian food. I came here for lunch and ordered a cappuccino and a prosciutto de Parma sandwich. The sandwich was very delicious and so was the cappuccino. A good little spot for a quick bite to eat and to grab a coffee. The service was excellent as well. I will be back here again for dinner and I highly recommend this spot to anyone in the area.

This is an Italian restaurant that instantly transports you to a rustic wine cellar with its enchanting ambiance. The setting was truly the highlight, offering a cozy and intimate dining experience reminiscent of a tucked-away gem in the Italian countryside. However, the restaurant, despite its wine cellar vibe, surprisingly fell short in its wine offerings. The selection was notably limited, which was a bit of a letdown for a place that seemingly prides itself on a wine-centric theme. As for the food, I opted for a salad, which was fresh and satisfying, but didn't particularly stand out. However, the real intrigue lies in the other dishes I saw being served around me. From sumptuous pastas to what looked like perfectly cooked meats, the array of meals was a feast for the eyes and suggested a promising culinary journey. In conclusion, while Sapido’s nails the rustic charm and offers a visually appealing menu, the limited wine list is a puzzling oversight. Nevertheless, the tantalizing glimpses of other dishes I witnessed are enough to lure me back for another visit, hopeful for a more rounded experience.
