Sandwiches by the Sea

I walked in alone for lunch. I asked for a half of a tuna sandwich. He said it was 16 bucks. I gave him 16 and put two in the tip jar and thought to myself that is a bit spendy. When he put down the sub it looked big. I asked " don't you sell half sandwiches? " He said "yes". I said " I asked for a half." He said sorry I didn't hear you and handed me the sub. I thought that was cheesy business, but took it. Then I got home and tried the sandwich and the tuna was terrible. The good thing is my dog loved it. For the people who work there...REMOVE ALL WATER from the tuna and chop finely then the tuna isn't so dry. And better business ethics are a must.

The most amazing roast beef wrap I have ever eaten!!! The roast beef is fresh, adding the roasted pepper, gorgonzola & balsamic dressing, GENIUS!!! Mike & Drew are very friendly. This is the best place for fresh wraps & sandwiches

Food was bland

I am editing my previous review to 5 stars. This place is under new management/ownership and it’s fabulous. I think the previous owner just got burned out. Just be prepared to wait. The lines can get long. I don’t know what happened to this place. It was my favorite sandwich spot in Delray. They changed the bread, and it’s not as good. But mainly it’s the service. I went there twice this week and both times the woman making the sandwiches literally didn’t put on any of the condiments I asked for except lettuce. Maybe they were out of tomatoes and pickles but say something. I was also the only person ordering in the store. Very strange. And it’s too bad. Everyone is always friendly. But this felt intentional, which is why I’m writing the review. Hopefully they’ll figure it out.

Got the chicken salad sandwich and it was delicious! Easily one of the best chicken salads I have ever had. Everyone there was so nice and they were prompt with the order. I will definitely be back!

Good sandwiches, great to grab food to head to the beach

Won’t let paying customers use his bathroom. Also very unfriendly and rude! Don’t bother.

I’ve been a customer of this place for almost two decades. The new owners are nice people. The sub contents were good, however the new bread they are using is overwhelming. The beauty of sandwiches by the sea was that it was a light and easy sub, but that is no longer the case with this new bread. Again, the meat and cheese were just as good as always, but the new bread is a turn off.

Food was delicious. Got 4 different types of sandwiches and all were very good. The sandwiches were also huge! Service was very friendly.
