Sandbar Cocina y Tequila

We've dined at Sandbar since it took over Dos Toros location just before COVID. Went to lunch to celebrate National Margaritas Day. Unfortunately, Sandbar is not a good choice today! The place was not busy (except outdoor patio) but seemed to be short staffed! We kinda had limited time for lunch so Hubby & I shared the Chimichurri Filet Mignon Fajitas @$28.95 (ordered) medium rare. Got a small kinda sizzling "tri tip" type of meat, well-done with 3 tortillas, no plates to eat. Had to walk to bartender to get plates for ourselves! Mentioned to server but she only said "sorry" but didn't offer anything! The sides are the only thing that were good. The grilled fish tacos our friend ordered seemed to be so so, she said. Margarita a la Casa was decent. Spicy Pomegranate Margarita was also decent except both were served in small whiskey on the rock glass (@ appx $12 a piece) with mainly ice so not much to drink! Service was okay (as we informed server we were in a rush). Overall, quite disappointing lunch ! Not sure if we would give it another try after all these years!

I had a nice evening. Everyone was very kind Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and vegan options clearly marked. Potato Taquitos are particularly good Parking: I would park along the beach and walk up. Wheelchair accessibility: Kinda trucky, but there's plenty of space between tables. The tables are kinda high, but tge staff seem very accomodating.

I have to review this place as it gets all stars in my book. We'll decorated, great food and the weekend music is the best around. The crowd is 20s -50s and friendly

I was excited to find that they had a solid Vegan menu but disappointed to find out that it is only offered for dinner. There was one option for lunch.

Best food and staff ever . It starts with the Leadership ( Grant ) to Maris , Andy , Baily , Emma , Rafael , Lyndsay , and the rest of the crew . Not too mention the sick DJ”’s dropping the mix . They have great music late evenings . Great place !
