I can't believe I didn't find this place sooner, BEST LATTE IN TOWN! I thought latte art only existed on the internet, I was blown away at the whole experience and I will be back for more. Thank you for creating a Sanctuary in here in Clarksville. The world needs more places and people like you! Vegetarian options: I requested a hot vanilla latte with almond milk and it was not only delicious, but absolutely beautiful! Bravo.

The hours on the door are wrong. They say cafe open until 5, and they were shut down at 3. Trying to study with my roommates and they’re doing construction? Disruptive. Also the cafe employees making racist comments when their whole thing is spiritual practices made by POC? What a joke. Spiritual “namaste” white woman heaven, but definitely not a sanctuary for everyone.

A place of refuge and protection. An oasis. A safe space. A holy space. Sanctuary on Main embodies it all. When you enter, you can immediately feel the warmth of the space. You can feel the stories, the memories, the healing, the love. You may never want to leave, like me. The day I entered through the welcoming front door of SoM, I knew this place would change me. I am a military spouse and moving here brought a lot of drama and stress (all without my soldier being here to help). Then I got back-to-back jobs that sucked the life out of me, but I felt like I couldn’t escape. This led me down a path that my soul deeply needed to get out of. I turned to physical exercise (which helped a bit) but my mind was still running on 100 and all I wanted was to escape everything. I had previously taken SSRI’s but never felt it work for me. I started researching what natural methods I could do to help my anxiety, stress, depression, and I kept finding yoga and meditation. I had practiced yoga since 2010ish but it was all for physical benefits/ ”just a class” but never felt the benefit of meditation but I knew I enjoyed being in the presence of that community. So, I decided to Google “yoga studios” and give it meditation a try. I saw other places that were in mini malls that just felt dual ; a mirror of what I was feeling. This time I wanted the space to feel comforting, and I saw that yoga was being done in a historical building, I was intrigued. I immediately look at the classes and knew I wanted to FEEL yoga this time, so I chose Sound Healing. THAT DAY CHANGED MY LIFE. I was overcome with emotions that I had been bottled up… a cathartic release. It unlocked me. I made it a point to MAKE myself get away from my spouse, children, my stress, my depression, my anxiety, my job…and to just show up for myself once a week. The Nidra poses in Sound Healing intrigued me. I started to feel relaxed for those moments, but then the class was over. I wanted the feeling to continue so I looked up more classes and decided to take Yoga Nidra. AND THAT CLASS CHANGED ME. Ms HannahRaye (Ms. Shirley) guided me into a realm that I have never experienced…total body relaxation and a peaceful mind. I become obsessed with nidra because I could feel it bleeding into my life for the good. I find myself wanting to come to SoM all the time to experience all different forms of yoga and to connect with more like minded souls. In fact, I spent my birthday here. I took a 0630am class, had a massage in the basement, and then had a coffee and dessert. I’ve taken salsa dancing with my husband and brought my daughter to a few classes with me. I have had a natal chart reading and a personalized yoga practice. I have taken Ayurveda classes and come here to buy local honey and elderberry. When I say this place has changed my life…I decided to become a yoga teacher because of Sanctuary on Main, that’s how much it changed my life. It is my sanctuary, and it can be yours too!

Sanctuary on Main (formerly Yoga Mat) feels like my home away from home! Doing yoga with the staff has helped me manage physical limitations and daily pain due to arthritis. They are eager to help with modifications so my yoga experience is still challenging and peaceful.

Barista made a Magic for me. Magnificent. They've redone a very old building. It's a compelling space in which to relax or converse.

Recommend the prenatal yoga sessions when available. Great for various stages of pregnancy and it helps with mobility and stability to prepare for birth. Fun class!

I'm going to give 5 stars because I truly fell in love with this place when I first set foot in the door. I am both an uber eats driver, and uber eats customer. These are meant to be constructive points. On separate occasions when I spoke with the person working there, uber orders somehow were not coming through the system on the counter. The first time this happened I was a driver and waited about 40 minutes to have the customers order made (4 bagel sandwiches and 4 coffees). I waited due to my patience as a driver, and because if you drop, it really, really makes the customer irrate. I again want to state how much I like this place, want it to do well, and had the chance to look around to see what they offered. By the time I got all the way across town to the base, went through the visitors center to get a pass, and dropped off the order to the customer, it was probably an hour and 15 minutes later. He was not happy and rightly so. I also lost out on money from all of the extra wait time. The next time was today. I was a customer under uber eats. I arrived and my order again had not come through on the system. I had to wait about 15 minutes for my order when the app noted that it was ready. These two experiences were quite a bit of time apart. I have worked in food service/hospitality for around 20 years and understand the importance of servicing the customer. Please fix the system or processes both for the sake of the customer and to make sure drivers want to pick up from your establishment. Takeaway should not be offered if it cannot be fulfilled. One last item: disappointing to offer avocado and arugula on one of your signature sandwiches only to have my sandwich come with neither of these. Dietary restrictions: Was able to get almond milk in coffee due to allergy

My first time there and I brought my dog, Lulu. All the employees were so sweet and nice and never made me feel bad when Lulu got a little over excited and jumpy. In fact they loved on her, brought her a bowl of water and told me that the backyard was fenced so I could let her run around! Also the coffee was very good. One of my new favorite hangout spots
