Salt's Cure is in a category all it's own when it comes to the brunch game. At a time where there is no shortage of places to get brunch, to find a restaurant that truly applies the craft to elevate common staples to truly memorable dishes is truly rare. Salt's Cure is one of those places. While you will see all the familiar fare on the brunch menu, each and every item is prepared so well it's like the kitchen staff collectively tried mediocre breakfast once and made it their personal mission to never let another soul try mid food again. While the oatmeal griddle cakes are the headline grabber of the menu (deservedly so), I can't stress enough it is the little handmade items that truly bring everything to another level. Have you ever had a piece of bacon taste like a porkchop? Ketchup that taste like it was aged in a smoker? How about cinnamon butter that doubles as the syrup? All of these are par for the course at Salt's Cure. I know that "best of" restaurant lists can sometimes feel a bit detached from reality but Salt's Cure deserves its spot on each and every list it finds it's way onto.
Great food, especially the oatmeal griddle cakes and the perfectly made scrambled eggs. For brunch, get there early. We got there at 10:15 (they open at 10, no reservations), and still had to wait 20 minutes for a table to open up. With the line, we felt some inadvertent pressure to eat and leave. That was the only downside. I'll definitely go back.
This is a delicious breakfast spot in the Hollywood area. Their oatmeal pancakes are top notch, and dare I say, better than regular pancakes. You can’t go wrong with the all star breakfast. The sausage patties are excellent, the bacon is thick, the jelly is sweet. No complaints on their food at all. The staff can be a bit catty with the “we don’t do that here” attitude, but just don’t ask for syrup. I definitely will be back!
Fantastic. Danielle Maddie Linda and Dan make you feel so welcome. Great place
Do not go here. Food is below average and it took an hour to come out!!!!
