The place, the food and the service was great, I would recommend going
Best oyster on the half shell I've had in a long time.
Y’all, this place was great! It was our first time here and it did not disappoint! We started with gumbo and bread. Had the fried shrimp and fish. I substituted a house salad for the fries which was different however very delicious. Portions were a good size too! Bing was our server and was amazing, did a great job of answering our questions and really helped to make this meal a great experience. Be sure to stop by, it’s a great meal. Oh and the drinks were great too!
Quite busy on a friday night! Make sure you have reservations before you come during dinner hours! The smoked fish dip sample they provide is quite lovely. The kettle chip to go with it was a little heavy(oily). I think if it were slices of thin toasted baguette would be nice imo. We ordered ceviche and clam chowder for starters. The clam chowder was delicious, and I wish they were served with soup crackers or toast. The ceviche was good but nothing special. It was seasoned on the lighter side so tastes quite refreshing. Both of those dishes were in generous portions that we found ourselves out of space when we came to entree, so we shared a gulf shrimp pasta, and that was so good! Definitely star of the meal! The shrimp tastes great in the rich sauce of mushrooms and black garlic butter. I also really enjoyed the taste contrast of sun-dried tomatoes. Overall a pretty pleasant meal!
We had a delicious salmon luncheon. Sara was our server and she did an excellent job. On our way home, we got a call from Kristin, the receptionist. She called to inform us that Sara found my husband's backpack under his seat. When we came back to get the backpack, Kristin greeted us in the parking lot. She handed us the backpack and with a big smile. We were so impressed with his outstanding customer service.
Maybe it was because we popped in for a late lunch, but it seemed like the 'B' team was in. When we've eaten at this location before, and when we've been to their sister company, Jack Allen's, it has been better. Verdict - not bad, but disappointing.
