The location and services are good. I will recommend everyone to patronize them. Parking: Nothing else to say
Best African food on this side of town for sure! The consistently amazing meals are what keep us coming back. Doesn’t matter if you’ve never tried Nigerian food before or you are a native you will enjoy the food and be coming back for me.
Grossly overated! Music was so loud like it was like a club or hang out joint. Waited 1 hour for our meal and when it arrived they got it wrong. The waiter probably didn't hear due to the loud music. We didn't get served water and were told we were Supposed to order it. We were not asked what were wanted to drink and most restaurants in the price range would serve you water(even warm bread or chips and salsa while you wait) unless you specifically declined that service. So for two plates of Amala that didn't include beaf and goat meat(Kpomo was $6 extra) with a $90+ tab, not worth it.
My boyfriend and I went to Salt and Pepper this evening with a large group of friends. First things first, the server accommodated our large party almost immediately when he saw us trying to arrange tables to fit everyone. He brought out an extra large table, linens, and rest the chairs. To the server, thank you so much for your kindness and patience, I really appreciate it! I ordered the White Rice and Beans with Ayamase stew & plantain while my boyfriend got the Efo Elegusi Soup. I ordered my dish based off a good friends recommendation. The dish was good but far too spicy for me. It has a lot of flavor combinations you can make with all the elements on the plate. The meat within the stew was very good! The Elegusi my boyfriend ordered was amazing! He says this was the best Elegusi he’s had and I agree. It was the perfect amount of spice, the beef was tender, and the pounded yam was also the perfect consistency. We shared one another’s dishes and enjoyed them both equally. Our meals combined totaled to about $53 before tip. This restaurant has a very large menu with a wide range of dishes to choose from. I highly recommend trying this location out if looking for some great authentic African food. Hope this helps!
Wow where can I start from, l ordered the abula and omg it was so delicious. It made me feel like I was back in nigeria, and I am going to be eating here from now on and try other things on the menu.
Fast service for an African spot. My food was a lil cold but other than that.. I would go back again :)
