This store is much improved, thanks to the hard work of Shady (manager) and colleagues. Management are visible, usually one or two on the shop floor, which is good to see. Stock levels are much better than they used to be. Staff (some) are friendly and helpful. I'm not keen on the ones on the customer service desk. I usually find them grumpy and rude. I like the new system on the self-service tills, where you need to scan your receipt to exit. I've seen a man walk away from there quickly, as he was walking away, the screen was buffering, then when it stopped, it said his card was declined. I hope it is kept and they don't bow down to customer pressure to keep the gate open. Ultimately, those of us that go there to legimately shop and pay for our shopping, will get hit with higher prices, to cover their losses. As I was walking in, two people walking out, separately set off the alarms and the security guard did nothing, barely turned his head. He was having fun and skylarking with his mate. Defeats the object of him being there.

Far too convoluted layout, but hey saved me money cause I bought less.

The self checkout tills in this store haven’t been updated with the times at all. Not like the super quick efficient ones you see at M&S or Waitrose. The amount of times you have to wait because the machine can’t detect or can’t weigh something is ridiculous. Makes the matter worse when the staff pretend to not see or hear you when you need their help. They love making you wait, on some kind of a power trip I guess. The same at the customer service. So rude and act as if you’re inconveniencing them. Also, some vegetables like peppers, aubergines, cabbages, onions aren’t fresh at all. Wasn’t always like this. This issue is probably not Sainsbury’s specific (or maybe it is) but shame the quality has gone downhill but the prices are going up.
