I had the worst experience coming from a manager today at Safeway Red Hill so far. I believe it was miscommunication, rather than having the right information at hand. I was having a nice chat with the cashier while someone went to check the price of a product I was interested in. This manager should know to get the facts from me as a customer instead of accusing me of mistreating the cashier. She was totally out of place with her comments, asking me for politeness while she was scolding me in front of customers and employees. Well obviously Rena wasn't leading by example. She might be interested in getting more training.
I came here to pick up an order from online, Chummy took care of it amazingly. She did an excellent job with substituting things that weren’t in stock. Very polite, bubbly and professional. Goes above and beyond!

#1 goto grocery store for milk, butter, eggs, coffee, and cereal. Some things (like waffles and microwavable goods) are still better purchased at Costco. Safeway has the friendliest hours, I was thankful they were open on new years.
This Safeway needs better service. Employees are incompetent and slow...
We stopped over here for some food and drinks. This is a lovely spacious branch with heaps of food and produces.
