Don't buy meat from here or seafood. The whole seafood department stinks like nasty rotten fish. The bacon rack had rotten bacon with the good bacon. So gross.

I’ve got no sympathy for mega corporations that scream shoplifting to create Fort Knox like conditions for their customers to try and get through to do simple human things like try to go to the bathroom and buy lunch. Get over yourselves, you’re practically militarizing grocery stores you prison fetishizing weirdos.

The security woman working on the morning of Jan 28 2024 was out of line. I understand I came in with a backpack on but It's what I carry my medicine and supplies in. I have stage for mouth cancer and came in to pick up some ensure. I even smiled at her as she greeted me at the door. As I'm walking through the store looking for the ensure as well as looking around for other supplies, I noticed her following me around. When I got to ensure aisle she had the nerve to rudely ask me, "are you going to buy anything, or are you just looking around" in front of other customers. I couldn't respond back due to the cancer taking my tongue from me. So I just pointed at the ensure. Picked it up and headed straight for the check out line. She had the nerve to say "I'm just making sure, have a nice day"

This store gets worse over time. Store security follows you around. Most registers are closed, with several closed off with random shelving. Management cares more about shrinkage than keeping customers serviced. There are several one way gates, including when you first go inside and then after self-check. You have to scan your receipt to exit. There are warning signs all over about alarms sounding. They do a great job of making you feel like a thief as soon as you step foot inside and that doesn't stop until you leave. You can try to avoid this by using online ordering, but my family has never had an order that wasn't messed up, late, missing items, etc. The only reason I shop here is because the area corner stores are more expensive with less selection. And even that isn't as much a barrier anymore, given that this Safeway has literal barriers all throughout. It's a dystopia, with a produce aisle.

Very rude floral employee. you can't just get quarters or go to the pharmacy anymore.
