Not one register and line for self check out is ridiculous.
This store is the closest option for groceries for my family. It is possible, using their app, to save money. Tonight, a person in the drink aisle was using foul language and smoking weed. I witness theft regularly. The self-proclaimed greeter/grifter that the store evidently condones, stationed outside the door, has stolen from me. The staff has a difficult job. Off duty Police Officers present some daytime and evenings. Update: A late night visit, 9:30pm- 2 police officers searching for someone in the store. I have learned to check receipts closely, as discounts aren't always accurate.
It's not a bad Safeway it's a Safeway that's located in you know it's a little sketchy part of town but it's all right one you can do your shopping fast and get out and be done great experience
This store has gone downhill. Just walking through the parking lot is a gauntlet of panhandlers. The Store is dirty and poorly stocked. Tried to do a pick up order today, supposed to be ready at 6 pm, got notice at 7:51 to pick it up by 8. They marked it picked up before I got there so I had to go in and get it. Unhelpful people and half the order Missing. Service? I don’t think so. I’ll use the pharmacy but not going back to the grocery.
Understaffed and under stocked. Line of 20 people deep at self checkout and minimal checkout lines open.
Upgraded self checkouts. This location is investing money (profits from you) so that you can check out yourself, making them MORE money! Support more jobs, don't use self checkouts. One of the worst Safeways in the area. Do yourself a favor and go to the next closest one.
There’s a man with a dog that sits on the wall in front of the store who threatens to beat me up every time I walk past. Like, no thanks dude, I just want to get my food. He’s there all the time so it seems like Safeway is cool with it. I will not be shopping here while he is hanging out. And edit to respond to the response below - I called the shop yesterday when it happened again, and no one picked up and it never went to voicemail. I also tried the contact us link and spent too much time talking to a chatbot. Is there a better solution?
