This is by far the best hibachi restaurant in the hoover area! If you want your food cooked right and be full of flavor, this is the place to go. After eating here, I will never be back at sumo or stixx again.

SALTY FOOOD NEVER COME HERE and they have roaches walking around on the grills

I have fond memories of frequenting this restaurant when it was formerly known as Yuki. However, my latest visit with my family of five was a letdown. Despite numerous grills being visibly unoccupied, we were inexplicably asked to wait 20 minutes for others to finish. This lack of consideration for available resources was frustrating. Additionally, the customer service has taken a downturn; the staff member we interacted with lacked the basic courtesy we expected. This significant decline in both operational efficiency and customer interaction has regrettably led us to reconsider returning. It’s my hope that this feedback will encourage improvements for a better future dining experience

We unfortunately won't be back. Restaurant didn't seem that busy when we walked in, but we were told there was a 15-20 minute wait for our party of 4, which is reasonable. However, when we were seated, we then waited for over 60 minutes for our chef to come to our area. We had already decided to leave as he was rolling up to our area. Our waitress tried to charge us the entire cost of our dinner, even though we did not receive it. Additionally, as the chef was rolling the cart of food into the area, he dropped his entire tray of chicken on the floor before walking through the curtain. He then proceeded to pick up all the food that was dropped, place it back on the tray, and put the tray on a lower rack of the cart. In my previous review before editing to add further context, the person in charge of this account called me a liar and tried to discredit what took place at this restaurant.

Do NOT believe the review below. None of that ever happened. If you believe a person that says the pricing of our restaurant is $1-10, you already know who’s lying. We also do not have a curtain where the chef comes out of. I even have screenshots of the storybook fantasy review he gave in case he deletes & edits again. How would you feel if someone makes up a whole imaginary scenario that never happened at your business/workplace? . Defaming a restaurant because you want to gather up with your friends is despicable. Bitter & miserable with your lives & have nothing better to do than to edit, lie, & exaggerate with their reviews from 6 months ago . Also our chef would NEVER do that as our health regulations are near perfection & at a 98%. Who would do that? Anybody with a brain knows better than that. Bro…

The waitress was soo super sweet. Great service and good sushi.

Our family loves it here! The food and service are always exceptional!
