I tried this place after seeing it recommended online and it was one of the highlights of my trip. I was alone so I was seated at the bar which was arguably the best in the whole restaurant. I really loved the vibes and the overall ambiance. I tried my first egg cream here and it was surprisingly tasty. The service was quick, easy, and I never felt rushed to leave.

We waited for the table for 40 minutes. When it was finally our turn, we received a unassembled bagel, undoubtedly the most expensive thing in the whole of New York considering the quantity. The moment I finished the last bite, the staff brought the bill, asking me to pay. When I inquired, "What's the rush?" she seemed confused. After 15 minutes, the same person appeared again, asking if I was interested in paying by card or cash. After that, I became a bit irritated and told her it was getting annoying. Improve your service. I understand you want to maximize profits, but I also want to have a conversation when I've already sat down. I didn't order for takeout, so there's no need to rush me away from the table. Shame. The fish was really good though.

Great brunch option on the LES. During peak hours you will wait 45mins to an hour, but it was worth it. I’d wait longer for the goat cream cheese and pastrami cured salmon. The hot/cold cure salmon dip was fantastic. We also loved the eggs Benedict and the deviled eggs. Found the service to be a little slow, but we weren’t in a rush so it was fine.
