Great place to eat with family and friends. Staffing friendly and helpful.
Love this location. However, the need to learn how to wash their potatoes before cooking them. The last 3 times we've ordered them as you eat them your teeth grinds on the dirt residue left on each potato. Such a disappointment. Of all 3 locations in El Paso, this is the only one we've had this problem.
I have been to El Paso numerous times and never knew Rudy's existed. They were recommended to us by a colleague. It appears they like to repurpose old gas stations into BBQ restaurants. The atmosphere reminded me of eating at a church brunch with tables next to each other on long rows and a very high ceiling. Beverages are available in ice filled bins as you enter the cafeteria style line to order your dishes. One thing that somewhat irritated me was the lack of plates. Instead, they supply wax paper to eat off of - weird to me. The food was good. We tried a little bit of everything, and the Moist Brisket was the best. They can use a larger selection of sides. We requested the 3 Bean, but they were out. Probably the highlight of the meal was their Spicy Sauce. It is so good and spicy that I ended up buying a bottle to take back with me.
The BBQ was great. The store was small but well stocked. The only thing I didn't like was they didn't offer combo plates. You had to buy each item separately.
A quick drive thru for lunchtime brisket barbecue sandwiches. Very smoky and tasty. Stopped for breakfast and the breakfast tacos with scrambled eggs and chopped beef taste great. The green salsa is spicy. Yummy.
