Rubio's Coastal Grill

The folks here need help because they are seriously the slowest Rubio's I have visited. It's crazy to walk in to a mostly vacant restaurant and have them tell you that it will be a 25 minute wait. I'm sure the wait is due to all of the mobile orders they do, but they need to hire more cooks. I switched to doing mobile orders, but those are usually later than advertised on the app.

I ordered "Two Battered shrimp taco plate" tacos overall mehhh experience cold tortillas a BIG TURN OFF, shrimps were okay.... Pinto beans no flavor at all. I also ordered a side of guacamole I guess the "Gua" was best thing with my chips... Service, super blank no hospitality service at all I didn't experience any... am I gonna be back??? Probably not

Absolute favorite place to go. The workers are always super nice, one time a random dude took my take out food before I got there and the workers were nice and remade the food and apologized. Some people would just say there’s nothing they can do. If you’re into Mexican style food this location is great

Nearly every time I have gone or ordered from Rubio's something has been not right. From missing items or just wrong order but more times than I can count... I have ordered and paid for the 'especial' tacos and served the regular tacos. This time again. When ordering especial. I was asked 'You mean the fish tacos'? I mean especial taco plate. I was charged for the especial fish taco plate but when I got home and opened the big box. There were 2 regular fish tacos. Nothing else! No bean No rice No chips. And the crispy taco shells, gone! I was left with 2 tortillas and both were RAW! The pieces of fish were about 2 inches in length. Not sure how any place can screw it up that often and as much as they do. Different locations also. One of the questions above being the atmosphere. In all the years of going here I have never seen more than 2 tables occupied and eating. People will wait for orders at tables but not eat there. I know I have never stayed and eaten there. Uninviting as you can get. I'm not doing the cap on Rubio's. Just wish Rubio's would pick a lane. If you're fast food. Get a drive thru. If you're a restaurant. Get some real chairs and tables. Maybe a piece of art. Stay away from the cafeteria looks. Be consistent!!
